6/1/25 – [Bohemia, NY]: The AMAC Book Club is delighted to announce that Evelyn Waugh’s celebrated novel Brideshead Revisited has been selected as its Book of the Month for June. This choice continues the club’s tradition of exploring significant works of literature that provide both rich storytelling and profound thematic depth.

Brideshead Revisited, first published in 1945, is recognized as one of Waugh’s most influential works, offering a detailed examination of themes such as friendship, faith, and the decline of the British aristocracy. Set between the two world wars, the novel tells the story of Charles Ryder’s close relationship with the aristocratic Flyte family, whom he meets during his time at Oxford University.

The book club’s selection of Brideshead Revisited invites members and new readers alike to dive into Waugh’s evocative narrative, which artfully combines historical insight with poignant personal drama. The novel’s exploration of complex relationships and moral dilemmas makes it a perfect choice for spirited discussion and deep reflection among book club members.

We look forward to hearing your thoughts in June for what promises to be a memorable discussion of Evelyn Waugh’s Brideshead Revisited.
