Why this build matters if you carry

The rest of the 100 Days of Silence campaign leans toward rifles and hunting setups. Day 50 is different, and it is the one I would point my readers toward, because it is built around a pistol most of you already recognize from the duty and carry world.

  1. The host pistol is a modern carry and duty gun. The Springfield Armory Echelon 4.5F ($799 MSRP) is a full size striker fired 9mm with a 4.5 inch hammer forged barrel, tritium 3 dot night sights, 20+1 capacity, and an optics ready slide. The heart of it is the serialized Central Operating Group, a stainless chassis that is the legal firearm and drops between grip modules and slides without tools. GunPrime is threading the barrel before it ships, so the pistol arrives suppressor ready on day one.
  2. The suppressor is small enough to live on a pistol. The BANISH 9K ($799 MSRP) is 4.1 inches long and weighs 2.7 ounces in 3D printed titanium. It direct threads onto a 1/2×28 or 13.5×1 LH barrel with no Nielsen device or booster required for most tilting barrel 9mm pistols, and it runs roughly 26 dB of reduction across eight baffles. For a home defense or range setup, that is about as little bulk as a can adds.
  3. The paperwork is handled for you. Silencer Central, the anchor sponsor of the whole campaign, runs the ATF Form 4 on the winner’s behalf through the eForm system and ships the suppressor straight to the winner’s door once approval comes back. No FFL transfer to schedule. Their posted averages currently run about 4 days for individual filings and 18 for trusts, and the $200 federal tax stamp went away on January 1, 2026, so the paperwork is the only step left, not the cost.

The rest of the gear in the stack

The Echelon and the 9K anchor the package. The supporting pieces are built around the same suppressed 9mm use case:

  • Heighth Defense HGM825 ($545). A shroudless PDW grip module for the Echelon that the COG slides straight into, no gunsmithing, with M-Lok and a rear Picatinny rail. It ships in this package with a 9 inch Slimline PDW stock. Pull the COG out of the factory frame, drop it into the module, and the same pistol becomes a far more stable braced platform.
  • Winchester Super Suppressed 9mm 147gr (SUP9) ($154.75 for five boxes, 250 rounds). Heavy 147 grain subsonic running about 990 fps and 320 ft lbs, with an encapsulated bullet that burns clean and keeps fouling down inside the can. Because it never breaks the sound barrier, the suppressor only has to deal with muzzle blast.
  • Armorer Pro ($49.99 for one year). This is the app I built. Round count tracking per firearm, service intervals by round count or time, an ammo inventory that deducts as you log sessions, and gear tracking that gives a suppressor or optic its own cleaning schedule. Serial numbers are encrypted so only the owner can read them, and photos are stripped of location data before upload.

Where Day 50 fits in the 100 Days of Silence campaign

Silencer Central’s 100 Days of Silence is a 100 day giveaway running April 17 through July 25, 2026, with one suppressor given away every single day to a verified U.S. adult age 21 or older in a suppressor eligible state. Silencer Central anchors it and PopularSuppressors.com hosts it. Day 50 is the halfway tentpole, an eight sponsor coordinated build around a complete suppressed 9mm platform.
