Declassified documents show Biden asked CIA to bury intelligence on Ukrainian officials’ concerns about family business dealings

  • Declassified CIA documents reveal an effort to suppress an intelligence report on the Bidens.
  • The report detailed Ukrainian officials’ view of a U.S. double-standard on corruption.
  • This occurred while Hunter Biden was on the board of the Ukrainian firm Burisma.
  • Joe Biden later pressured Ukraine to fire the prosecutor investigating Burisma.
  • A CIA official called the suppression of the report rare and inappropriate.

A bombshell revelation has emerged from declassified CIA documents exposing a brazen attempt by then-Vice President Joe Biden’s office to bury an intelligence report that was deeply embarrassing to the Biden family. The suppressed report detailed how Ukrainian officials viewed the Biden family’s dealings with a corrupt energy company as evidence of a glaring U.S. “double-standard” on corruption. This is a story the Deep State did not want you to see.

The scheme to conceal the truth unfolded in February 2016. According to a declassified email, a Presidential Daily Brief briefer sent a message to the CIA. “Good morning, I just spoke with Vice President / National Security Adviser and he would strongly prefer the report not/not be disseminated,” the email stated. “Thanks for understanding.” The vice president’s national security adviser at the time was Dr. Colin Kahl. With that simple request, a critical piece of intelligence was locked away.

The suppressed intelligence

What was in the report that was so threatening to the Biden family narrative? The intelligence, collected in December 2015, revealed that officials within the administration of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko were left “bewildered and disappointed” by Biden’s visit to Kiev. These officials privately expressed that they viewed the “alleged ties of the U.S. Vice President’s family to corrupt business practices in Ukraine as evidence of a double-standard within the United States Government towards matters of corruption and political power.”

This Ukrainian disillusionment came at the very moment Hunter Biden, the vice president’s son, was pocketing millions of dollars to sit on the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian natural gas firm. Hunter Biden himself admitted he secured this lucrative position not only through qualifications, but due to his family’s name. The hypocrisy was shocking and the Ukrainians saw it clearly.

The irony of Biden’s Ukraine visit

The context makes this cover-up even more damning. At the same time Ukrainian officials were privately criticizing the Bidens, Burisma executives were actively leveraging Hunter’s connection to his powerful father. Executives at the company sought Hunter Biden’s input to help them deal with pressure from a Ukrainian prosecutor who was investigating the firm.

Just days after Biden’s December 2015 visit, the vice president delivered a speech to the Ukrainian parliament lecturing them on the “cancer” of corruption. He even specifically targeted the Office of the General Prosecutor, which was then led by Viktor Shokin. Shortly thereafter, Biden brazenly admitted to leveraging U.S. aid to force Shokin’s firing, boasting, “I looked at them and said: ‘I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.’ Well, son of a bitch. He got fired.”

This is the ultimate betrayal of public trust. While posing as an anti-corruption crusader abroad, Joe Biden’s office was actively engaged in a domestic cover-up to hide how his family’s questionable financial dealings were undermining America’s credibility on the world stage. The very officials he was lecturing saw the Biden family as the embodiment of the corruption they were supposedly fighting.

The suppression of this report is a classic example of the weaponization of government. A senior CIA official confirmed this action was “extremely rare and unusual” and “inappropriate.” The official stated that the normal production process “does not involve anyone outside of the intelligence community,” revealing a clear politicization of intelligence to serve a political family’s interests.

CIA Director John Ratcliffe, who declassified these documents, called this incident an example of “politicization of intelligence.” He deserves credit for bringing this transparency, exposing how the machinery of government was misused to protect the Bidens from scrutiny. This is precisely the kind of Deep-State manipulation that erodes the foundation of our republic.

This story is a testament to the power of relentless investigative work to uncover truths that powerful institutions want to keep hidden. It reveals a pattern of deceit, where public virtue-signaling on corruption masks private actions that enrich a political dynasty. The American people deserve a full accounting of these actions, and this declassified evidence provides a critical piece of the puzzle, proving that where there is smoke, there is most certainly fire.
