This is not the first time Russia has accused Ukraine of desiring to use a “dirty bomb” in a false flag attack. Ukraine’s ruler has not been trustworthy as the war progresses, making this allegation plausible.
Russia Claims Ukraine Considered Using A “Dirty Bomb” Attack
Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev recently made the claim on Wednesday. In a post on the VK social media network, Medvedev, who now serves as the deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council, lashed out at Ukrainian ruler Volodymyr Zelensky, calling him a “puppet dressed up as the president of a disintegrating country.” Zelensky could “create any provocation to upend a settlement and prolong the war to the last Ukrainian.”
Anxious to demonstrate alleged Russian atrocities, the Ukrainian ruler “will use any means within his reach, including attacks against his own cities and civilian population or even using weapons of mass destruction such as a ‘dirty bomb,’” the former president claimed.
“The rat has been driven into a corner. Its behavior is now totally unpredictable,” Medvedev said, arguing that this makes Zelensky extremely dangerous to the global community.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that Moscow will not allow Ukraine to acquire nuclear weapons under any circumstances. “If the country which we are essentially at war with now becomes a nuclear power, what do we do? In this case, we will use all, I want to emphasize this, precisely all means of destruction available to Russia,” he warned in November.
Russia has also alerted the West to Ukraine’s plans as it helped prop up the war financially.
