Under Biden, these individuals were granted temporary legal status through programs such as Temporary Protected Status (TPS), the CBP One app and the CHNV (Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela) parole flights.

These initiatives allowed hundreds of thousands of migrants to enter the U.S. legally, ostensibly to reduce illegal border crossings. However, critics argue that these programs were exploited, enabling mass migration without proper vetting or accountability.
