UN activates planetary defense drill amid claim of 3I/ATLAS being an alien weapon

  • Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb suggests 3I/ATLAS, a 20-kilometer-wide interstellar object, may not be natural but an alien craft or weapon navigating toward Earth. Its retrograde orbit is mathematically improbable, optimized for planetary flybys, including Earth, raising suspicions of intelligent design.
  • Unlike normal comets, 3I/ATLAS exhibits an “anti-tail” stretching 600,000 miles toward the sun, defying solar wind effects. Color shifts, gravitational anomalies and unexplained trajectory adjustments further suggest artificial origins.
  • Despite being 19 million miles away, NASA released blurry, low-quality images, while amateur astronomers captured sharper photos revealing cone-like structures and a glowing green core. Critics accuse NASA of deliberate obfuscation, fueling conspiracy theories about a cover-up.
  • The UN’s International Asteroid Warning Network (IAWN) is conducting a two-month tracking drill (November 2025-January 2026) but insists the object poses no threat. Skeptics question whether this is a “cosmic false flag,” masking a real extraterrestrial or human-engineered disaster under the guise of a drill.
  • Some scholars link 3I/ATLAS to Revelation’s “great star” prophecy, while others warn global elites may exploit it to justify surveillance, climate engineering, or depopulation. Closest approach: Dec. 19, 2025 – but gravitational shifts could unpredictably alter its course, potentially leading to catastrophic impact.

A mysterious interstellar object, 3I/ATLAS, measuring a staggering 20 kilometers in diameter, has sparked global intrigue and controversy as Harvard astrophysicist Dr. Avi Loeb posits that it may not be a natural comet – but an extraterrestrial craft or weapon navigating toward Earth.

Meanwhile, the United Nations has officially confirmed that planetary defense systems will track the object in a two-month-long global exercise. This move raises suspicions among skeptics, who question whether authorities are downplaying a potential threat.

Discovered in July 2025 by Chile’s ATLAS telescope, 3I/ATLAS is only the third confirmed interstellar visitor to our solar system. However, its behavior has baffled scientists. Unlike typical comets, which exhibit tails pointing away from the sun due to solar wind, 3I/ATLAS displays a bizarre “anti-tail” stretching over 600,000 miles – toward the sun. Additionally, its orbit appears unnaturally precise, exploiting gravitational forces in ways that defy conventional astrophysics.

Loeb, former chair of Harvard’s astronomy department and head of the Galileo Project, has identified at least 12 anomalies in the object’s trajectory and composition. In his peer-reviewed paper, “Is the Interstellar Object 3I/ATLAS Alien Technology?”, he suggests the possibility that it could be an intelligently guided craft.

“The object’s retrograde orbit is mathematically improbable,” Loeb explained. “It appears optimized for planetary flybys, including Earth. Combined with its unexplained color shifts and gravitational defiance, we must consider artificial origins.”

Is NASA hiding something about 3I/ATLAS?

Public skepticism intensified after the National Aeronautics and Space Administration‘s (NASA) Nov. 19 press conference, where the agency presented blurry, black-and-white images of 3I/ATLAS from its Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter despite the object being just 19 million miles away. Critics accused the agency of deliberate obfuscation, particularly after amateur astronomers worldwide captured sharper, more detailed images using backyard telescopes.

One such image, taken by Canadian observer Paul Craggs on Nov. 21, revealed a cone-like structure shrouded in a luminous haze. Another, captured by Mitsunori Tsumura in Japan, showed a bright green core with an elongated anti-tail. “It’s amazing how amateur astronomers are producing clearer images than the Never A Straight Answer [NASA] agency,” one critic posted on X.

The UN’s International Asteroid Warning Network (IAWN) has officially designated 3I/ATLAS as the subject of its 8th planetary defense exercise, running from November 27, 2025, to January 27, 2026. The UN maintains that the object poses no threat, framing the campaign as a routine test of global asteroid-tracking capabilities.

According BrightU.AI‘s Enoch, the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs established the IAWN in 2013 as a global response to the threat posed by near-Earth objects (NEOs), such as asteroids and comets. The primary goal of IAWN is to enhance international cooperation and communication in the detection, tracking and mitigation of asteroid impacts.

Biblical prophecy or cosmic false flag?

However, the timing – coinciding with Loeb’s alarming hypothesis and widespread public distrust – has fueled speculation. Some theorists suggest the UN and NASA are orchestrating a “cosmic false flag,” masking a genuine extraterrestrial or human-engineered threat as a benign comet. “When every telescope from Mauna Kea to Chile is synced on one object, that’s not a drill,” an X user commented.

Adding to the intrigue, biblical scholars have drawn parallels between 3I/ATLAS and Revelation’s prophecies of a “great star” falling from heaven. Others speculate that global elites could exploit such an event to justify expanded surveillance, climate engineering, or even depopulation agendas under the guise of planetary defense.

Loeb, while cautious, urges preparedness: “Whether natural or artificial, cosmic threats demand transparency. If this object is maneuvering, we must ask – why?”

3I/ATLAS will make its closest approach to Earth on Dec. 19, 2025, though gravitational shifts could alter its path unpredictably. The UN’s tracking campaign will refine methods for monitoring similar objects – but for many, the lingering question remains. Is this merely a scientific exercise, or the prelude to something far more consequential?

As amateur astronomers continue capturing unprecedented images and Loeb’s theories gain traction, one thing is clear: The world is watching.
