A recent Mason-Dixon Polling & Strategy poll has revealed that former president Donald Trump leads Vice President Kamala Harris among Hispanic male voters in Texas.
The poll, conducted from Oct. 14 to 17 among 625 registered Hispanic voters in Texas, reveals that Democrats maintain a notable lead with Hispanic voters, with 50 percent of support compared to the Republicans who only garnered 40 percent. Meanwhile, nine percent of voters remain undecided.
However, the poll also reveals a stark contrast when it comes to gender. According to the poll, Harris holds a strong advantage among Hispanic female voters over Trump, with 56 percent to 33 percent of Trump. On the other hand, 48 percent of Hispanic male voters favor Trump compared to the 44 percent who support Harris. This gain among Hispanic male voters could stem from recent minority outreach strategies of Republicans to counter the Democratic “gender pandering.”
Moreover, this gain proves the result of an NBC News/Telemundo/CNBC poll, conducted from Sept. 16 to 23 among 1,000 English- and Spanish-speaking Latino voters, claiming that the advantage of the Democratic Party among Hispanic voters has been shrinking and is now at its lowest level in four presidential cycles. Just like the Mason-Dixon Polling & Strategy poll, the declining Latino support for Democrats in the NBC News/Telemundo/CNBC poll has been evident among Hispanic men under 50 and those without college degrees.
Latino leaders consider Trump as “the only man” capable of defending American freedoms
Meanwhile, Hispanic leaders gave the Republican presidential candidate a standing ovation during a round table discussion in Florida on Oct. 22.
That day, Max Alvarez, the CEO of Sunshine Gasoline Distributors, recounted the assassination attempt against Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, wherein Trump was shot behind his ear during his campaign rally. Alvarez, a Cuban-American businessman, claimed that when Trump raised his fist in defiance and mouthed the words, “fight, fight, fight,” that time, revealed Trump’s resilience and determination.
In turn, Alvarez praised Trump as “the only man” capable of defending American freedoms. Alvarez credited Trump for standing against oppression and defending individual liberties.
“I am extremely confident, without a doubt, that the first day that we elect Mr. Donald J. Trump, our next president – the first day in office, I guarantee you he will solve half of the problems that we have,” Alvarez said. “On November 5th, the election is not about you and us, it’s about freedom and oppression, and this is the only man that I know that can handle that.”
“I am honored today by being representatives of God on earth and we have to pray,” Alvarez added. “And, I always will say, ‘Pray, pray, pray’ but ‘Fight, fight, fight.’ Because that’s exactly what we need to do, praying itself is not going to do it. We need to pray and fight.”
These praises have received a standing ovation from the participants of the round table discussion.
