Elon Musk has called on the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) to stop spreading “anti-white racism” through its ongoing campaigns.
He made the comments in response to a post on X in which the group said that racism is defined as “the marginalization and/or oppression of people of color based on a socially constructed racial hierarchy that privileges white people.”
This prompted Musk to reply: “ADL needs to stop their anti-white racism now!”
The group has long been claiming racism against seemingly everyone and trying to use its status to urge Big Tech and governments to censor people on the pretense of preventing racism. For example, they lobbied the Biden-Harris administration last year to carry out policies restricting Americans’ free speech by labeling certain opinions extremism, online hate and anti-Semitism.
It’s not the first time Musk has called out anti-white racism. Last year, he came under fire for his response to a tweet that said: “Jewish communties [sic] have been pushing the exact kind of dialectical hatred against whites that they claim to want people to stop using against them.”
Musk replied: “You have said the actual truth.”
This was followed by another reply in which Musk said: “I am deeply offended by ADL’s messaging and any other groups who push de facto anti-white racism or anti-Asian racism or racism of any kind.”
This prompted ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt to accuse Musk of using his influence “to validate and promote antisemitic theories.”
An undeterred Musk went on to say: “Everyone is allowed to be proud of their race, except for white people, because we’ve been brainwashed into believing that our history was somehow ‘worse’ than other races. This false narrative must die.”
This led to widespread backlash, with many X users calling Musk a “white supremacist” and some advertisers abandoning the platform.
ADL doesn’t even try to hide its censorship efforts
Musk isn’t wrong about the ADL. In fact, the ADL’s Rabbi Nosferatu bragged about how they censor social media during a Council on Foreign Relations meeting this summer.
He said: “We work with Google on using AI to try to interrupt cyber hate before it happens. We work with YouTube to get them to change their algorithms. We work with Facebook on trying to use a redirect method.”
They also came under fire for pushing Congress to renew provisions in the highly controversial Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) to silence those who criticize Israel for its genocidal actions in Gaza.
The bill they pushed for adds language criminalizing any type of speech that upsets them and enlists businesses to serve as NSA spies on behalf of Israel.
They also accused the pro-peace Jewish Voice for Peace’s Political Action Committee (PAC) of committing campaign finance law violations after the group helped to organize and fund some of the campus protests against Israel’s actions in Gaza. The PAC also backed politicians who have publicly criticized Israel. But the ADL wasn’t too concerned about the campaign finance violations that were carried out by the pro-Israel lobby American Israel Public Affairs Committee, which has been working to silence critics of Israel.
These days, it’s pretty easy to be labeled as a racist or to have your words labeled as misinformation. All you have to do is say something that goes against liberals’ preferred narrative, and you’ll be accused of whatever it takes for them to justify censoring you.
