WARRINGTON, FL (1-minute read) — A fatal shooting occurred on Friday evening at the Forest Creek Apartments in Warrington, Florida. According to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO), the incident is being investigated as a case of self-defense.
ECSO spokesperson Morgan Lewis shared with local media that the initial findings suggest no charges are expected to be filed. “We don’t anticipate any charges at this time,” she stated.
The investigation reveals a confrontation between two men, captured on video. The deceased individual reportedly pulled out a firearm and used it to rob the second man. Unbeknownst to the robber, the intended victim had his own concealed firearm, which he used to defend himself, fatally shooting the attacker.
The ECSO is still conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident.
