Palestinian health ministry shares names of nearly 1,000 health workers killed by IDF in Gaza
Since the start of the war on Oct. 7, 2023, Israel has killed at least 1,151 health care workers in Gaza, according to the latest figures released by the Palestinian health ministry.
A total of 986 of these deceased health workers are named in a new report published by the ministry, while data on the remaining 165 deaths is still being verified.
The report would be more complete if Israeli authorities would release the victims’ bodies or their remains, but the Jewish state is playing not so nice as the world watches in horror.
Among the dead are about 165 doctors, 260 nurses, 184 health associate professionals, 76 pharmacists, 300 management and support personnel, and 12 other specialists in health care.
“The Palestinian sector has been subjected to a systematic attack by the occupation forces that has affected all its components,” the ministry said.

Israel, the killing machine
Over the past year, Israel has repeatedly bombed health facilities throughout Gaza, including in designated “safe zones” where Israel Defense Forces (IDF) told Palestinian refugees to flee before proceeding to bomb them anyway.
Like one of the gruesome and sadistic scenes from the film Schindler’s List, the Israeli military appears to be tricking Palestinian civilians into running for their lives, only to then murder those civilians in cold blood at the place where Israel told them to go for refuge.
Hundreds of thousands of people in Gaza, many of them hungry or injured, are now mostly or entirely without aid and support since Israel took out all of their health care infrastructure. Many of them now face “imminent death” as a result.
Keep in mind that many health workers in Gaza have been arrested, interrogated, beaten, and even assassinated, all because they are trying to help people who are not Israelis.
“The data included in this report … reflects the effects of the systematic and deliberate Israeli aggression against the health sector,” the report explains.
It is clear from the facts that Israel has been systematically taking out Gaza’s health care infrastructure as part of its alleged Hamas eradication efforts. Murdering innocent civilians and their doctors is apparently part of that.
Back in June, Dr. Iyad Rantisi, the then-director of Kamala Adwan Hospital’s maternity ward in Gaza, died “under torture” while in Israeli custody after he was detained by invading IDF troops the previous November. Dr. Rantisi is the second Palestinian physician who has died from torture while in Israeli detention.
Former prisoners of Israel have repeatedly come forward to claim that IDF is especially cruel to Palestinian doctors, probably because said doctors are trying to help save lives in Gaza while Israel is trying to end them.
As of August 31, the official death count in Gaza is 34,344 people, all of whose names have been identified and published by the Palestinian Health Ministry. Another nearly 7,000 people have also died since the start of Israel’s aggression post-October 7, but these have not yet been named.
A total of 11,355 of these deaths were children that have now been named, along with another several thousand children who have not yet been identified. Israel has also murdered 710 babies less than one year of age at the time of their deaths.
“The death toll among each of those categories is one of the highest in modern conflicts,” reported Middle East Eye about Israel’s achievements in death since October 7.
“At least 220 UN aid workers were killed in Israeli air strikes, the highest staff death toll in UN history.”
