Say what? Biden identifies as the “first Black woman VP” to serve with a Black president
Just a week after the disastrous first presidential debate with his top contender Republican flag bearer and former President Donald Trump, President Joe Biden committed another blunder with a verbal slipup saying he was “proud to be the first Black woman vice president to serve with a Black president.”
During a confused radio interview with the Philadelphia radio station WURD, the 81-year-old commander-in-chief appeared to mix himself up with Vice President Kamala Harris. Analysts believe that he may have likely jumbled the sentence because he’d earlier spoken about being the first vice president to serve under a Black president.
Elsewhere in the interview, he also talked about how he was the first president to have a Black woman as vice president and had appointed Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, the first Black woman to serve on the Supreme Court.
When asked about his controversial debate with Trump during the radio guesting, he told the station: “I had a bad debate. But 90 minutes on stage doesn’t erase what I’ve done for three and a half years.”
This was one of the latest gaffes the president has been ridiculed for as even the members of the Democratic party, the mainstream media and his mega-donors are questioning his coherence and asking him to withdraw from the race and look for a “younger substitute.”
His team has offered multiple explanations for his slurred words, nonsensical phrases and vacant stares, including jet lag, a cold and incompetent aides. (Related: Mainstream media claims Biden is still “sharp” at 81, just “forgetful.”)

Biden has also doubled down on his plans to stay in the campaign until the bitter end. “Let me say this as clearly as I possibly can, as simply and straightforward as I can: I am running,” he said.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre also claimed the same. She was asked point-blank during a recent briefing if Biden was considering to give way to another Democrat candidate. “Absolutely not,” she responded. “And you heard that, I believe, directly from the campaign as well.”
However, the top executive may have accidentally admitted his limited capacities as serving president. A few days before the interview, Biden told a host of Democratic colleagues of his plans to enact a self-imposed curfew, turning down any official events past 8 p.m. He admitted that he needs to limit his work hours and get more sleep even if it means missing important events.
“President George W. Bush went to bed at nine and President [Barack] Obama made dinner at 6:30,” Biden-Harris campaign spokesman Kevin Munoz said in a statement to the New York Times. “Normal presidents strike a balance and so does Joe Biden. Hardly the same rigor as Donald Trump who spends half of his day ranting on Truth Social about plans that would cause a recession and the other half golfing.”
Time traveler: Biden claims to “beat Trump again in 2020”
Adding to Biden’s unmissable gaffes, he again commits a verbal slip-up, saying he will beat Trump “again in 2020” during a Wisconsin rally on July 5.
He was praising the state’s audience for supporting him and leading him to his 2020 election victory. He then claimed that he was in the race to win against Trump again. But, this is where he made another blunder.
“Let me say this as clearly as I can, I am staying in the race. I’ll beat Donald Trump, I will beat him again in 2020,” he said. Probably realizing he made a mistake a few seconds later, he stopped in his tracks for a moment and then spoke again: “Oh, and by the way, we’re gonna do it again in 2024!”
Netizens were quick to catch this blunder as the video went viral with them poking fun at the major fail.
“The man is a time-traveler!!!” someone commented on a video posted by @spectatorindex, which has now garnered two million views on X.
Someone else chimed in, “Remember Robert Zemeckis’ ‘Back to the Future’ trilogy? Joe Biden just made it happen, he’s taking us back to 2020. ‘BACK TO THE FUTURE IV.'”
“Who’s stressing this guy? This is becoming really too much. He needs to drop out,” another user replied.
Republicans, conservatives and other critics were also calling the president and his team out for these debacles. Former Trump campaign operative Steve Cortes joined the conversation and tweeted, “Joe Biden has no clue what year it is.”
Moreover, Pasadena City College philosophy professor Edward Feser wrote: “You know things have gotten desperate when a candidate adds time travel to his list of campaign promises.”
Republican strategist Madison Gesiotto Gilbert shared: “Sadder/more frustrating by the day that this is who represents us on the world stage.”
